About
Based in London, Sean is an interdisciplinary artist, graduating with a BA Fine Arts from UAL (University of the Arts London) in 2012 and later delving into VFX through the MA Digital Effects program at the NCCA (National Centre for Computer Animations).
With a diverse skill set encompassing wood and metal working, sculpture, installation, photography, film, video editing, and now specialising in digital effects, Sean merges artistic creativity with technical expertise.
Noticing the prevalence of technical backgrounds in the VFX industry, Sean, transitioning from fine arts, recognised the need for a blend of technical and creative skills. To adapt, he delved into Houdini visual effects, seamlessly integrating his artistic foundation with the technical demands of VFX.
During his degree Sean took an interest in 19th C. illusions and in-camera trickery, leading him to see VFX as the natural progression from this. The likes of Georges Méliès and Laurent Mannoni inspired Sean to become a modern day illusionist.
